Kentland Farms

A Celebration of Stories

This set of boards was an entry for the College of Architecture and Urban Studies Diversity Competition.

The intent was to design an intervention at Kentland Farms, a functioning farm with a rich history of various cultures and stories. The "braided" path winds through the woods and terminates at a pavilion and amphitheater for festivals and educational events. Each material relates to the story of a different group of people, and the design shows how each individual thread of the history of the plantation is intertwined and creates a rich, vibrant fabric.

The design was awarded second place.

Virginia Tech Symphonic Wind Ensemble: The Road to Carnegie Hall

This graphic was developed for a t-shirt for the Virginia Tech Symphonic Wind Ensemble. The VTSWE recently traveled to perform at Carnegie Hall, and wanted to showcase their journey for their members and their Kickstarter backers.

This spring, the Newman Musicians recorded a CD entitled "We Come To Share Our Story". The album artwork includes a photo collage graphic used on advertisements and the CD cover, as well as a digital booklet to accompany online purchases of the CD.
